Our Watermelon cake....

GF cake...
Icing we food colored red.
I think that when we cook we use EVERYTHING in the kitchen!
We had to put it in the fridge to keep it from falling while the icing set on the top side before we stood it up.
Choc covered raisins for the seeds!

It's a Good Day...

However long our feet have walked on this world
We've all lived long enough to know
That sometimes life will go our way
And other times it won't
But still I've got this joy inside of me
With each new dawn I do believe to

(chorus)
Say hey, it's a good day
Even if things aren't going my way
Jesus is Lord and I am saved
So, say hey, it's a good day

Circumstance and situations change
You know life can turn on a dime
But there's a constant hope and peace
That I have come to find
And it's all because of who God is
And that He is alive and I am His, so

(chorus)

We are all as happy as we make our minds up to be
I have just decided that nothing's gonna take this joy from me

(chorus)

"God of this City"...

You're God of this city, you're the King of these people, you're the Lord of this nation, you are...

You're the Light in this darkness, you're the Hope to the hopeless, you're the Peace to the restless, you are...

For there is none like our God, there is none like You, God!

Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city!
Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done here.

You're the Lord of creation, The creator of all things you're the King above all kings, you are...

You're the Strength in the weakness, You are Love to the broken, You're the Joy in the sadness, you are...

For there is none like our God, there is none like you, God!

Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city!
Where glory shines from hearts alive with praise for You and love for You in this city.

Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done in this city!
Greater things have yet to come, and greater things are still to be done here.

1 Peter 5:7...

7Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

Philippians 4:6-7...

6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Tomorrow's the day...

I am speaking in both services at church tomorrow morning sharing my testimony!
WoW God is so awesome!
3 months ago if you had told me I would be standing up in front of everyone at my new church telling them what God has done in my life...I would have laughed in your face!
The first service starts at 8:30 and the second service starts at 11, please pray for me that God will give me just the right words to say and that HE will calm my nerves and allow me to be used for HIM.
Yay....

Psalm 66...

 1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
 2 Sing the glory of his name;
       make his praise glorious!
 3 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds!
       So great is your power
       that your enemies cringe before you.
 4 All the earth bows down to you;
       they sing praise to you,
       they sing praise to your name."
 5 Come and see what God has done,
       how awesome his works in man's behalf!
 6 He turned the sea into dry land,
       they passed through the waters on foot—
       come, let us rejoice in him.
 7 He rules forever by his power,
       his eyes watch the nations—
       let not the rebellious rise up against him.
 8 Praise our God, O peoples,
       let the sound of his praise be heard;
 9 he has preserved our lives
       and kept our feet from slipping.
 10 For you, O God, tested us;
       you refined us like silver.
 11 You brought us into prison
       and laid burdens on our backs.
 12 You let men ride over our heads;
       we went through fire and water,
       but you brought us to a place of abundance.
 13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings
       and fulfill my vows to you-
 14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke
       when I was in trouble.
 15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you
       and an offering of rams;
       I will offer bulls and goats.
 16 Come and listen, all you who fear God;
       let me tell you what he has done for me.
 17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
       his praise was on my tongue.
 18 If I had cherished sin in my heart,
       the Lord would not have listened;
 19 but God has surely listened
       and heard my voice in prayer.
 20 Praise be to God,
       who has not rejected my prayer
       or withheld his love from me!

My favorite verses for this time in life.

My flowers Part 2...

I finally got it all planted before summer break was over and it looks beautiful!
While I was planting on the last day, there was a sudden downpour and it rained on and off about 3 different times...I just kept on working.

My flowers Part 1...

So I decided that TLH needed some flowers to spruce it up a bit...and that thought led to this:  : )
It took several places to get just what we had in mind.
I just love the colors of them all!
Me with all the pots and the stuff I had to come back and plant around the porch.
Then we were done and it was time for me to leave...

Everyone, David and Kelli...

These are my great friends David and Kelli that many of you have probably heard me talk about nonstop.
Last night we went out for dinner and hit two restaurants before we could get anything worthy to eat that was GF! In the process of all this I snapped some pictures.  : )
We shopped, ate dinner, and talked about the AWESOME stuff God is doing in our lives, and how looking back on things He has been using us on each other!
What an amazing thing to have friends you can just sit for hours with and talk about how God has been working in your life!
David and Kelli are engaged as of Christmas, and they are the cutest couple ever.  : D

God has brought us together as friends and it is AMAZING!!!

This night on June 10...

Tonight I'm going out with friends to have dinner, we will be eating at the time of old people.
I say this because who else besides old people eat around 5-5:30?
(ok...I'll admit that I'm making a huge assumption with this and that some of you might eat at 5 or 5:30 and not be old).
Don't want to hurt anyones feelings or anything.
Anyways, I am going to be working on small format class too (had to throw that in so people don't think I partay all the time around here).
Then tonight after all the other stuff Im just gonna hang with K and talk and study God's word.
What could be better than this right!? NOthing.
Ill post some pictures from tonight and there will be lots to come from this coming weekend too, so be excited!
Get happy, get excited, cause God is in control!

The kind of christian you want to be....

Yesterday I was talking with a friend and we were talking about church missions, in the process she tells this story about a friend she has. This friend had said once that the kind of christian she wanted to be was the one that when she gets up in the morning and her feet hit the floor she wants the Devil to say..."Oh crap she's awake!" Think about this...to me this was AWESOME!

The 2nd Tuesday in June...

So it is late Tuesday night and i am in bed, showered, clean, cool, and feeling relaxed. Happiness.
The stress of the 36 people project has lessened due to the fact that I finished all of my printing yesterday and the fact that Bill pushed the due date back to next Wed instead of tomorrow. The prints are Amazing! I was just overwhelmed with giggly joy when i finished my first 11x14 print of the old man in the hat and bow-tie. I then did the Stella's Pet Stuff man, the retired US Army man, the large black dude, and then lastly the lady making my guitar strap. Each one looks so amazing in 11x14 and they seem to literally take your breath away when you first look at them... it took Kentie's thats for sure!
So it was a good two days so far in the school week, exhausting, but good and productive.
Tonight i went to my sunday school class Tuesday night meeting and had a good time with friends, I came home and now im in the above listed state watching It's Complicated for about the 15th time in the past week and a half.

Goal: Take 3 pictures of 36 strangers with 35mm color negative film and ask them 4 questions about themselves.
Questions: Name, Age, Where they're from, and an Interesting fact about themselves.

These are just some of my favorites from the day!

Fact: Makes stained glass.
Fact: "The most interesting thing about me is my personality."
Fact: Can fix anything he tinkers with.
Fact: Married 50+ years and has worked at the Flea Market 18 years.
Fact: Had a stroke 16 months ago.
Fact: 76 and in great health because she eats all organic.
Fact: Has run Stella's Pet Stuff for 11 years.
Fact: Book collector, and his friend was a photography teacher.
Fact: He collects early American antiques, and "looks like a lot of people."
Fact: Sells Direct TV but doesn't have it herself.
Fact: His hobby is collecting furniture and refinishing it.
Fact: She is a Native American.
Fact: He loves records.
Fact: She can trick-ride on horses.
Fact: She is a leather worker.  (She is making my new guitar strap.)

This was so much fun and I learned more than I could have ever imagined, I could have done this all afternoon! People are so fascinating and I was shocked at the willingness of people to let me get right in their faces and take pictures. What a GREAT project!
