Baby calf...

Rusty? Maybe so...he doesn't officially have a name yet. lol Here he is from afar due to the fact that I don't really have a good zoom lens at the moment. He is absolutely adorable and loves to skip around the pasture trying not to fall over! Tada...our March 12 baby! : )

Monochrome project...

We have our first digital assignment, and it is taking me lots and lots of time to get back in the hang of it after absolutely falling uncontrollably and unconditionally in love with 6x6 film. There is nothing like it...so getting back in the digital nitch is kind of difficult (not at all what i expected). My monochromes are blue, red, and yellow.

MOST of the projects for THIS WEEK...

The PC contrast project for Kevin's Photo Finishes & Corrections class.
This is my contact sheet of various negatives that I had to show Kevin so he could pick which one I would have to actually print for this particular project. He picked the first one on the far right, and picked the far right bottom edge or her dress to match the highlight to in EVERY PC print.
PC #1
PC #2
PC #3
PC #4
PC #5
**a PC is a filter used in the enlarger to print at a specific contrast. The higher the PC #, the higher the contrast of the print.**
You may remember this from a week or two ago, it's my design lab layout sketch. I have worked so hard to get all my prints done, so here are the computer scans of them.
My theme... baking/cupcakes.
MAKE CUPCAKES NOT WAR!
Finally my fruit project.
We had free reign with this one too, as long as we used fruit with no props, a white or gray background and one single 750 hot-light.
This was fun... although when Kentie cut up the pineapple two nights ago we contemplated the fact that the knife was to dull...or the fact that the hot-light had cooked it from the inside out! Here are my favorites.
Now I have to go back to school and mount the first two... they are due today by COL (close of lab). hahah

Eruption...

There is so much going on right now... so much that I just feel like I need to sit down and cry and get it out, at least until tomorrow when we have two major projects due and then the madness will start all over again. Im not trying to be negative about all of this but it has just cracked. I don't even have pictures to post... you'll have to wait till I have some time to scan some into the computer. Sorry. : (
We had a reality check today by Irene during lecture, and needless to say, it DID NOT HELP MATTERS.
My English class is a joke, and we are working on group project proposals, our "group leader" needs to be checked out by a mental wellness doctor. The whole thing is just flat-out sickening.
Well I have to go now to get ready for my Sunday school class meeting at church...i'll save crying for after that.
My tears need to burst, and they might at any second.

Tuesday blug...

I went to my 7:30 am class, went to my 9-10 class then headed to the dark room to process 4 rolls of film. I spent at least 4 hours in the darkroom, then I had to mount and press a project that was due at 3, then I went to BK to grab a quick bite to eat and headed back to school for my 3:00 lab. Lab only lasted about 30 minutes so I headed home... but now I am contemplating heading back to school to print a few things... ehh. I think I shall go, but only for a very little while as I am about darkroom burnt out for today. hahaha... ALL I WANT IS SOME FRIED CHICKEN!

Revelation...

So, I think that I have had a revelation.
This revelation consists of the fact that I decided that I am on a journey.
This journey began awhile ago but continues on.
At first I wanted to ignore it, but now I am choosing to acknowledge it.
This journey has taken me to new places, led me to new people, and continues to challenged me.
What is this journey you may ask... not even I really know what to call it yet.
I am here, I have this, I am aware, I am waiting.
I Believe I can do this!

The Angel of the Kitchen...

These Willow Tree angels are my favorite... this one is Kentie's, it stands in her window sill looking over the whole kitchen.

The check...

Nelson is gone for the weekend so its just us girls holding down the fort... we have strict instructions to check on Cindy EVERY 4 hours to see what's happening. This is her very first baby so Kentie was instructed today on what she/we have to do in the event that Cindy needs help. Oh boy!

Lovin me some Lions...

My "special" meal from Lion's Club last Tuesday night... they made me "special" chicken and it was gooood! They made me two whole pieces so I had three meals worth to take home and eat on this week. The above is a picture of some of my leftovers that I ate yesterday and made a perfect heart shape out of. I love being a part of Lion's Club!
Ciao, kt  : )

Cindy the mother...

Any day now we will have a new addition to the farm! When I drove in this afternoon she was laying in the pasture right below the house, she looked up at me...shifted and stood right back up looking so uncomfortable! Oh poor Cindy...I hope im here when it "happens" so I can get pictures, how awesome would that be!? Yeah son!
Ciao and nighty night, kt  : )

2:17am...

When we have a Jericho in our lives, let us remember the lessons learned by Joshua and the Israelites. Joshua had much faith in his Lord and the time in the Wilderness only caused that faith to grow stronger. Joshua also prayed and asked God to be with them as they went into battle. We must look to Him for our strength because when the "walls" look too hard to defeat, God can knock them down. We have to be willing to follow His lead and He'll do the work for us.

From THE FOWLER ( i hope it's ok i took this from you...if not let me know and ill take it off.)

Two days after the day for lovers and bitter singles (lol)...

Even though this post came two days after Valentines day, I decided that I would like to post some of the things that I am so grateful for and love. So here are just a few...
I am so grateful for family and their never ending love.
I am grateful to know amazing people with amazing talents and dreams, and be able to call them friends.
I am grateful for those moments that are totally unexpected and end up being the greatest possible thing. (click on the picture to make it bigger to see me and my friends in the bubble)
I am grateful for all the love and encouragement that I received during high school even when I didn't think I could do it.
I am grateful for the big love that radiates through tiny paws that pitter-patter in my house.

I am so very very grateful for my "little house"and the fact that I was allowed to make it "very kt".
Im grateful for the moments when time stands still and all that matters is the bond that you share.
I am grateful for the moments when you again become the someone you always dreamed of in someone else's eyes.
I am grateful for those times you wish would never end.
Im grateful for new friendships and growing trust.
I am grateful for those who... understand your past, believe in your future and accept you today just the way you are.
I am grateful for the way God works in our lives every day with love, even when we don't acknowledge it.

If you are reading this, then I want you to know that I love you and am so grateful to you for the love and encouragement you have been to me.
Ciao, kt  : )
